In Peru, SC has been working since the 1980s with populations whose rights have been violated. Its actions are carried out in the areas of Education, Health and Nutrition. Likewise, SC works in the field of Protection so that girls, boys and adolescents live in a society free of violence, abuse, and physical and humiliating punishment. Another important area of ​​institutional intervention is Disaster Risk Reduction Management with an inclusive and community-based approach. In the last three years, SC has intervened to mitigate the negative effects of human mobility due to the issue of Venezuelan migration.

Therefore, during the interviews, candidates will be shared and evaluated on their reading and understanding of the policies contemplated in our safeguarding framework, which are: Safeguarding children, Prevention against Exploitation;Â Sexual Abuse, Anti-Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying Policy;Â and, Code of conduct.
The objective of the position is to contribute to implementing the in-person activities of the Nutrition Sector around maternal and child feeding in emergency situations (MIYCN-E) with migrant and host community families, of the BHA Cash Transfer Project in the designated region , in order to guarantee the expected results in the response to the migratory crisis of Venezuelans in Peru.
In the event of an emergency situation, the position holder is expected to have flexibility to work outside of their normal job description and be able to adapt to required tasks and schedules as needed. Likewise, the position requires a total or majority daily travel to the areas where the vulnerable populations benefiting from the Project reside, so compliance with protocols and any preventive measures established by the organization is necessary.
Training and Knowledge:
- University professional in Health Sciences is required.
- Residing in the intervention region.
- Knowledge and experience in using the MS Office program (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and virtual work computer platforms, intermediate level.
- Knowledge of database management.
- Skills to analyze and synthesize information.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
- Good level of organization and high ability to work as a team.
- High level of commitment to Save the Children values.
Experience and skills:
- Minimum experience of 2 years in social nutrition projects or in health establishments (SERUMS).
- Experience in non-governmental organization (NGO) projects with a territorial focus.
- Experience in emergency and/or food security projects (desirable).
- Basic level of English (reading and writing).
- Good copywriting skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assistance in the implementation of face-to-face activities of the work plan of the Nutrition Sector of the Region, scope of intervention of the project with a territorial approach.
- Coordinate with allies and representatives of public and private institutions related to Maternal and Child Feeding in emergency situations (MIYCN-E) within the Region.
- Assistance in promoting the participation of host community organizations in Nutrition actions developed within the Region.
- Assistance in monitoring articulated care cases referred by allies, and reporting on the timely care process of the corresponding health institutions, virtually and in person.
- Coordinate between internal sectors (CASH, MERA, Supply Chain), promptly assisting in the follow-up of derived cases and informing all those involved about the timely care process.
- Responsible for the proper registration and weekly systematization of information on participants in the Nutrition sector activities carried out during the project within the Region.
- Other tasks related to their work and that are assigned by the organization.
