PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The project coordinator works under the responsibility of the Head of Mission, who is his line manager.
He supervises the project’s medical and support teams.
He collaborates with the Medical, Logistics, Financial, Human Resources and Reporting coordinators.
FUNCTIONAL AND HIERARCHICAL LINKS
He reports to the Head of Mission
He supervises the supervisor of reproductive health activities and the admin and end of project manager
He collaborates with the managers and actors present on the site, including the health authorities and the providers of supported health structures.
MISSION AND MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Definition, coordination, implementation of activities
The Project Coordinator must:
– Be able to effectively coordinate operational systems, processes and activities, so that programs are delivered on time according to project results and activities, ALIMA and donor rules and within budget allocations.
– It must be able to report results: Therefore, it must align with existing tools or create new ones to monitor project performance. Must have the ability to write and analyze results.
- Management of material and financial resources:
– he must supervise the preparation of the monthly provisional budget and ensure the transmission of information to the coordination in Bangui;
– check and sign the documents in place; and authorize disbursements, scrupulously checking that the documentation is correct and respecting the limits of the Delegation Scheme;
– ensure the efficient use of the organization’s resources, and propose appropriate solutions to limit operating costs while keeping in view the programmatic objectives.
– Participate in the application of ALIMA’s policies on fraud by promoting prevention and applying the necessary controls.
- HR and team management
– able to identify HR needs with regard to the evolution of the project
– Demonstrate cooperation within the work team and put group objectives before individual objectives
– Have the ability to seek solutions to problems by finding links with the various other departments of the project and developing synergies between departments to promote team spirit.
– ensure the well-being of all staff in accordance with safety, security and occupational health protocols.
– In coordination with the HR coordination in Bangui, be able to supervise / organize the individual assessments of its staff and assess / identify the needs in terms of training of the staff involved in the project.
- security management
– Have the ability to master the security context and be reassured that the Security Rules are scrupulously followed by the team under his responsibility.
– He participates in updating these safety documents in collaboration with CDM and/or Colog.
– Mastery in the management of a security incident.
- Implementation of preventive measures against abuse of power, gender-based and sexual violence:
– Ensure the implementation of the PSEA policy in the covered area based on the PSEA prevention and management action plan. More specifically,
– He ensures that his team, partners and members of the community are aware of ALIMA’s PSEA policy and have access to information through the regular organization of training and awareness-raising.
– Ensures that recruited staff have benefited from a selection process inclusive of the PSEA policy (reference check, tests including PSEA questions), signed the PSEA and the code of good conduct, PSEA induction before signing a contract with the person.
– Also ensure that the partner has received an induction, signed the PSEA policy before signing a partnership agreement or sending a partnership agreement for signature at the CoM level
It remains to strengthen the mechanisms for denunciation and feedback from beneficiaries as well as strengthening the referral and PEC circuits for cases.
- Representation & partnership
– Have a dignified behavior and harmonious communication to preserve the image of the organization vis-à-vis partners and donors.
– Be able to seek synergy and involve other partners in the organization’s actions, take care of its image in front of the donor and secure funding.
DESIRED QUALITY
– He must have a doctor profile,
– preferably experience in reproductive health care and have experience in working with the Ministry of Health and with the Directorate of Family Health.
– Ability to organize, adapt and lead a team;
– Diplomacy and ability to negotiate;
– Self-control, patience and professional maturity.
