Summary of the position
Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing consultation to patients and compliance with health directorate protocols with providing prescriptions to patients when needed and supervise other MHPSS center staff.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Key relationships:
MHPSS Center staff
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Providing psychological counseling to patients at the MH clinic, and medical prescriptions in coordination with the Turkish psychiatrist
- Coordinate with the Turkish psychiatrist to ensure the compliance with the health directorate protocols.
- Provide prescriptions to the patients when needed.
- Technical supervision of the team leader and psychologists in MHPSS center
- Ensure required reporting is done timely and accurately.
- Represent SAMS in all relevant fora in relation to the position duties, as requested by the projects department manager.
THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory Qualifications required:
- A university degree in medicine with a psychiatry specialty certificate is mandatory.
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a psychiatrist.
Languages:
- One of the psychiatrists should speak and write Turkish fluently as a mother tongue and another one should speak Arabic fluently as a mother tongue.

The salary will be defined regarding the SAMS Turkey Office salary scale on-going.
