YOUR POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the responsibility of the Field Coordinator, your role is to coordinate ACF’s interventions in the Ouaddai province and based in Goz Beïda. This base is mainly financed by SIDA, ECHO and GAC and has a multi-sectoral approach.
Your missions will be as follows:
– Contribute to the identification of sectoral needs, the design of the strategy and operational development by supporting program managers to monitor sectoral humanitarian needs in the area of ​​intervention in conjunction with the Coordinator Ground
– Support and coordinate activities and program teams to ensure the implementation, monitoring and reporting of projects by liaising between the base team and the program team, organizing launch workshops and closing projects, guiding program managers in the implementation of projects in accordance with the logical framework, budget and ACF logistical and administrative procedures, etc.
– Supervise and guarantee the smooth running of support function activities by liaising and communicating with base support managers via alerts or recommendations in the event of difficulties
– Ensure the functionality of accountability mechanisms, the fight against fraud and against PSEA cases by monitoring the complaint and feedback mechanisms managed by the MEAL department and by encouraging strict compliance with the charter and the fight against fraud, abuse of power and sexual exploitation and abuse. Finally, you will have to promote the deployment of the PSEA policy with awareness-raising and reporting
– Team and human resources management via recruitment, supervision, drafting of individual action plans, performance evaluations and training needs. training for the team you have direct responsibility for, i.e. 10 people (finance, HR, logistics, WASH, SAME and MEAL manager)
– Ensure reporting and internal and external representation of ACF in the area
– Monitor the security situation in the area by collecting and reporting information concerning incidents. The current Field Coordinator, based in Abeche, remains the decision-maker on security.
YOUR PROFILE
You have a graduate degree in humanitarian, social sciences or other similar and relevant fields with at least 2 years of experience in the INGO humanitarian sector in a remote area with volatile security. It would be desirable that you have already worked in planning, implementation, project monitoring, budget management and team management. Likewise, experience in logistics, Finance or HR would be desired as well as knowledge of Wash, FSL, Nutrition & Health or SMPS.
You have excellent communication and management skills, you are well organized, able to set priorities and work under pressure. You have good team spirit and cohesion as well as a good ability to bring people together.
You speak and write French perfectly and mastery of spoken and written English would be an asset.
YOUR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
– Fixed-term contract under French law: 6 months
– Gross monthly salary: from 2332 to 2676EUR depending on experience
– Retirement insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens: 16% of gross monthly salary
– Specific multi-position allowance country: 15% of gross monthly salary
– Increase in base salary: 6% every 12 months of continuous contract
– Per diem and monthly living expenses: 721.29EUR (see eurocost) net, paid in the field
– Monthly context allowance : 300EUR
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000EUR/year)
