YOUR JOB AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Emergency Coordinator, and in the provinces of Sila and Ouaddai, your main mission will be to respond to the Sudanese emergency in Chad, and more specifically to: – Provide technical support
through coaching and strengthening team capacity to ensure an effective start of Health & Nutrition activities in the provinces of Sila and Ouaddai;
– Strengthen coordination and communication between Health & Nutrition actors in the provinces of Sila and Ouaddai for more synergy and complementarity;
– Put in place all reporting tools (weekly, monthly, etc.) to promote good communication of Action Against Hunger’s activities in eastern Chad;
– Identify the needs and all the difficulties hindering the activities of Action Contre la Faim in Eastern Chad and propose appropriate solutions by mutual agreement with the health and nutrition coordination.

YOUR PROFILE

Experience required:
– At least 5 years of professional experience in sectors related to the mission: emergency response in health and nutrition;
– At least 3 years of professional experience in the management of emergency projects / programs in the field of planning, the implementation and monitoring-evaluation of health and/or nutrition programs in crisis contexts;
– At least 1 year of technical assistance experience on emergency projects preferably in sub-Saharan Africa;
– Knowledge of ACF procedures proven by at least 1 professional experience in supporting the management of humanitarian crises;
– Knowledge of ACF policies and sectoral strategies related to community health and nutrition;
– At least one experience of collaboration with decentralized technical services and NGOs in rural areas;
Skills required:
– Great aptitude for coordination, networking and animation
– Knowledge and mastery of tools and means of communication and visibility and good writing skills;
– Confirmed capacity as a facilitator as well as a pedagogical aptitude for the transfer of skills;
– Successful experience in emergency response in humanitarian crisis situations and specifically refugee crises, internationally;
– A lively and creative mind while ensuring efficient, precise and results-oriented work;
– Communication skills, facilitation of inter-actor dialogue processes and an ability to manage conflicts;
– A good knowledge of the Project cycle and the policies of ECHO, UNICEF and GAC cooperation.
– Professional experience in the Sahelian zone will be an additional asset

YOUR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

– 3 months of fixed-term contract under French law
– Gross monthly starting salary from 2597 to 2968 EUR depending on experience
– Per diem and monthly living expenses: 686EUR (cf eurocost) net, paid on field.
– Monthly context allowance: 150EUR
– Child allowance: 1500EUR per year and per child present in the country of origin (ceiling of 6000EUR/year)
– 16% of gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens.
