How can you make a difference?

Carry out a comprehensive, systemic and evidence-based diagnosis to identify, document and analyze the critical gaps between the current Hospital Management Model (MGH) (2015) and the demands of the current healthcare environment, including the continuity of essential services during healthcare emergencies and the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to provide the technical basis for decision-making in the updating phase of the model and its prioritized operational technical documents, within the framework of the Integrated Health Services Networks (RISS) and the Pandemic Fund Project

To qualify as an advocate for each childhood, you will have…

Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Individual professional with training in health sciences, public health, health services management, hospital management, health administration, industrial engineering, health economics or related areas. Coordinator preferably with a master’s degree in public health, health systems management and/or hospital management.
  • Work experience: At least 5 years of professional practice in public or private organizations in the health sector, preferably in the hospital and second level settings.

(a) ≥2 contracts or certifications in diagnoses of hospital management models;

(b) ≥1 example of a gap report or similar diagnosis from the last 5 years;

(c) verifiable experience in analysis of health information systems, digital transformation, interoperability or institutional health platforms, desirable

  • Skills
  •  ≥3 years of technical advice to hospitals oriented to MGH;
  • ≥5 years in development of hospital manuals, guidelines and technical guides; proven experience in institutional diagnoses of hospital management models; quantitative and qualitative methods in health services research; knowledge of the SESAL regulatory framework (National Health Model, RISS, MGH);
  • ≥3 projects with consultation with institutional actors (interviews, focus groups, surveys).
  • Language requirements: Spanish: native or advanced professional proficiency (C1/C2) required
  • Desirable requirements:
  • Previous experience in analysis or updating processes Hospital Management Model (MGH) or similar hospital management models.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and organizational framework of the health sector in Honduras, including RISS, second level of care, hospital management and quality of health services.
  • Experience in developing institutional diagnoses, gap analysis, evaluation of hospital processes or operational studies in health establishments.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing information through mixed methodologies, including documentary review, interviews, focus groups, surveys or field verification.
  • Experience in analysis of health information systems, digital transformation, interoperability or use of institutional platforms applied to hospital management

5 points = Understanding of the regulatory framework and scope of the consultancy (MGH, RISS, National Health Model, DSSNA/DGRISS and purpose of diagnosis).

6 points = Mixed methodological design and information collection strategy, including sample by hospital typology, instruments, interviews, focus groups, documentary review, remote self-assessment and field verification.

5 points = Gap analysis, systematization and prioritization plan by MGH component, considering impact, urgency and feasibility.

4 points = Schedule, work organization, individual operational strategy and risk mitigation plan.
