Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) proposes, in a landlocked district of Madagascar where the health needs are voluminous, to co-construct the project activities with the community and partners to have a holistic approach for the benefit of the health and the resilience of the population. population, and ecology, while remaining able to respond to emergencies in the Great South East of Madagascar.
This innovative planetary health project is planned over several years in partnership with local populations and other NGOs with technical and contextual skills, with a geographical location favoring responses to emergencies in the Great South-East of the country.

Your responsibilities
• Be responsible for MSF’s operational response in the project and coordinate the execution of the MSF program
• Co-develop and implement a multi-year strategy for the Ikongo district with the communities (radical listening, patient and populations as partners ( PPP)), authorities and in partnership with local organizations (e.g. Health in Harmony/HiH.)
• Prepare for the next emergency season: December 2023 – May 2024
• Ensure compliance with the charter, ethical standards and policies of MSF in order to achieve the objectives of the organization and to improve the state of health of the target population as well as the humanitarian situation.
Profile
• Experience in project management or human resources management
• Essential professional experience of at least two (2) years in similar jobs in other NGOs, or previous experience in the field with MSF in different contexts
• Fluency in French
• Experience in projects with community and participatory experiences
• Experience in internal and external communication, networking if possible in a similar context
• Experience in emergency preparedness and management
Assets
• Post-secondary or medical/paramedical degree or in social sciences (anthropology, community health, etc.) desirable • Experience in team training
• Knowledge of the fields of health and the environment and/or food security and/or sexual and reproductive health and/or epidemiology
• Experience in security management (movements and living conditions in hard-to-reach places)
• Good knowledge of the region and/or Madagascar
