ALIMA PRESENTATION

It is in this perspective that the Operations Department considers it necessary to have support to maximize its chances of achieving its ambitions.

Purpose of the position :

  • Support for the organization of med-op meetings and other meetings of the Operations Department
  • Support for the organization of maps/minimaps and the development/monitoring of Action Plans,
  • Holding of the DO drive
  • Humanitarian watch on certain specific contexts
  • Support for monitoring certain specific projects

Reporting relationship : Under the responsibility of the director of operations, the support officer in the Operations Department, you work in close collaboration with the program managers, the medical service team and any other service in order to facilitate the achievement of objectives.

Distribution of working time : Given the close link with operations, it is necessary for the support officer in the Operations Department to be able to spend between 20% and 30% of their time in the field.

Level 3: As part of his or her duties, the incumbent will be responsible for applying the recruitment process and may be required to make field visits. He/She may therefore be in contact with vulnerable children and/or adults. Therefore, a criminal record check or presentation of a certificate of good character will be required. In situations where it is not possible to provide a criminal record or a certificate of good morals and morals, a sworn statement will be requested.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support for the organization of med-op meetings and other meetings of the Operations Department
    • Collection of proposals for discussion topics and transmission to the D;O
    • Organization of the med-op meeting: room, equipment in connection with the IT department
    • Note taking and sharing of the CR
    • Implementation of a follow-up system for recommendations
  2. Support for the organization of maps/minimaps and the development/monitoring of Action Plans,
    • Support the Director of Operations in the design of annual and multi-annual action plans
    • Support for monitoring indicators in conjunction with the desks and departments concerned
    • Supports PR and department heads in the development of annual action plans for countries and for each department of the Operations Department
    • Ensures the quality of the recommendations and their follow-up in collaboration with the desks
    • Responsible for the logistical and budgetary organization of events, ensures that communication around these events is efficient
  3. Holding of the DO drive
    • Drive management of the Operations Department
    • Reorganization of the DO drive from the fields to the headquarters in conjunction with the IT department
  4. Humanitarian watch on certain specific contexts
    • Support for humanitarian watch on coastal countries in connection with the SOU
    • Support for monitoring the dynamics of aid in connection with the donor service
  5. Support for monitoring certain specific projects
    • Monitoring of performance indicators for certain specific projects defined by the DO in connection with the desks
    • Systematic monitoring of project openings (alerts the DO on difficulties and delays) in conjunction with the Desks
    • Participation in meetings on multi-country projects
  6. Implement preventive measures against abuse of power, gender-based and sexual violence

EXPERIENCES ET COMPETENCES

Experiences

  • You have a degree in project management, health, nutrition or any other humanitarian field
  • You have experience in project management/monitoring and have a good capacity for analysis and solution proposal
  • You have the ability to take responsibility and are autonomous
  • Knowledge of ALIMA operations is a plus

Skills and Quality

  • You are rigorous, flexible and have the ability to work in a team in multicultural contexts
  • You have a spirit of synthesis and good writing skills

LANGUAGES

  • You are fluent in English and French both orally and in writing

CONDITIONS

Duration and type of contract : 12 months CDD under Senegalese law

Starting position : ASAP

Salary :

  • Level 7 of the internal Salary grid
  • A gross monthly salary of 1,568,000 FCFA
  • A travel allowance of 474,000 FCFA
  • A housing allowance varying between 2 and 5% of the gross monthly salary depending on family composition for employees recruited internationally, i.e. a net minimum salary of 1,520,927 FCFA or 2,319 euros
